Another couple weeks down at Health in Motion and we’re almost finished with our 3rd session and will be heading home soon. I hope we can remember how to get there! 🙂
Maggie is back to work in a walker and has really gained a lot of trunk control. She’s standing for longer periods- up to 12 seconds so far- and is more controlled. She still falls some, but has gotten much better about bending her legs and going down rather than falling down. Stepping up on the stool is improving as well as her steps down the mat either with the walker or Natan’s support. Overall, she’s refining her movements, slowing them down and therefore getting more precise. Week nine she even got to enjoy her daddy and brothers in a couple sessions (and at our home for now of course). 🙂
These last couple days Maggie was even able to stand up in the walker and lift one leg at a time. I gotta tell ya, it looks simple, but this is a big deal and takes a great deal of trunk control to be able to use it. Plus the ability to lean into her hands- she has to do this while standing with the walker and lifting a leg at the same time- big stuff. In addition to lifting each leg, she was able to look at Natan from side to side then lean forward and backward while standing with the walker.
I’m so proud of my Moosie girl! THANK YOU for being a part of this and helping our daughter learn independence. She still has some learning to do, but has come such a long way since our first trip!
